we are meme girls

We may be young but we’re curious AF. No idea what you want to do when you grow up? Neither do we! But we know for sure that we want to make a difference and do something cool and meaningful. So we’re meeting all sorts of amazing women who are blazing the trail for us in science, arts, sports, politics, you name it. We’re gonna find out what they do, how they do it, and how they did it, and that’ll help us figure out how to do it like they did… but even bigger and better!

We’re Mindful, Edgy, Motivated, and Empowered. We’re MEME Girls.

MISSION

WHY MEME GIRLS?

Meme Girls Show fills the gap in our current media space with a fun and informative program that connects young women and the influential people in their lives with potential role models, by exploring the ever important question, “What do I want to be when I grow up?

Led by a diverse group of middle school and high school girls, Meme Girls will deliver information, start conversations, pose questions, challenge stereotypes and prejudices with the girls leading the way: conversing with their peers, interviewing a variety of professionals and experts, asking questions and interpreting information from their - the 12-17 year old’s -  point of view.

Our series enables conversations between teenagers on and off the screen. Each are on journeys to find themselves, form their identity, and make choices about their future. Every episode disseminates valuable information about possible careers through interviews with accomplished professionals from a variety of fields, while the Meme Girls shed light on what it's like to be a real teen girl today.

Through their eyes, inequalities, stereotypes, misogyny, and traditional gender roles are called into question. By giving young women the mic and platform at a critical stage in their development, the show empowers girls as trusted sources of entertainment and education, and drives positive self-image and confidence.
